We are partnering with an exciting medical device scale-up near Utrecht in their search for a Vice President Finance. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-growing company while improving patients’ lives through innovative products!

 

About the Company

The company specializes in products that reduce pain for patients worldwide. Fully developed and now in the scale-up phase, they are rapidly expanding. With a dynamic and open work environment, they are looking for a hands-on VP Finance to lead a small team and work closely with the CFO as a trusted business partner.

 

Your Role

As VP Finance, you will lead the finance team, oversee key financial processes, and ensure the company’s financial health while being involved in strategic decision-making. You’ll work hands-on in a fast-paced environment, helping with monthly closings, ERP system implementation, and managing risk through financial analysis.

 

What We’re Looking For

• Master’s degree in Accounting, Controlling, Business Economics, or MBA. Certification as a registered accountant is a plus.
• Experience in the life sciences industry, preferably in medical devices, with a strong background in technical accounting, controlling, and cost calculation.
• Proven leadership experience in a fast-growing environment, with a transformational leadership approach to drive change and innovation.
• Hands-on experience in managing and leading a team, including coaching and developing talent.
• Experience in manufacturing environments, working closely with production and supply chain teams.
• Expertise in ERP systems and digital transformation, particularly with ERP implementation (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365).
• Change management skills, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and lead digital and organizational transformations.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Strong ability to analyze and manage risks, and develop financial models that support commercial decisions.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with senior management and other departments.
