Our biopharmaceutical client is seeking an Interim Supply Chain (Inventory & Order Fulfillment) Specialist to oversee stock management across external warehousing (3PL) and decentralized manufacturing units (DMUs) in the EU. This role ensures inventory visibility, accurate order fulfillment, and smooth supply chain operations for clinical materials.

Key Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP (Mid-April – May 1st)
  • Contract Duration: 6 months, likely extension
  • Location: Netherlands (Hybrid, 2 days on-site)
  • Languages: English required, Dutch a plus
  • Interviews: Flexible & fast process – decisions within 1 day

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Management – Track stock levels at 3PL and DMUs (Leiden, Antwerp, Germany, Finland), ensuring accurate records of batch numbers & expiration dates.
  • Order Fulfillment – Maintain visibility over shipped clinical materials—monitor how much stock is at each DMU after dispatch.
  • Process Oversight – Ensure correct order execution with external warehouse (3PL).
  • Data Management – Manually track inventory in Excel/Smartsheet (as SAP is not integrated with DMUs).

Requirements

  • Order Fulfillment Experience (must-have) – understands stock tracking & order processes.
  • SAP Knowledge – ability to cross-check shipments with internal stock records.
  • Strong Excel/Smartsheet Skills – tracking & reporting inventory manually.
  • GMP Knowledge (2-3 years preferred).
  • Flexibility & Problem-Solving – fast-paced environment, must react quickly to supply chain challenges.
  • Proactive Communication & Stakeholder Management – able to work with multiple teams & external partners.
