Specialist Business Systems Analyst

Job Summary

The UX/UI Business Systems Specialist will be a key member of the program team working towards the digitalization of the design controls and technology transfer business processes for combination products. As part of this cross-functional team, you will assist with the deployment of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools that will help digitalize product development and commercialization.

This position supports implementing state-of-the-art digital capabilities, transforming the business by improving efficiency and speed while reducing the cost of developing, manufacturing, and distributing products to stakeholders and patients.

The UX/UI Specialist will work within a cross-functional organization to ensure successful and efficient onboarding and adoption of PLM capabilities across various business groups. The successful candidate will research and document user interaction and workflows on the PLM platform and support product teams working on the various PLM modules within a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The role involves working with vendors to identify and drive UX/UI enhancements to ensure a consistent and reliable user experience across all modules and capabilities. Additionally, the candidate will lead user research, onboarding, training efforts, and continuous improvement to help business leads successfully adopt the new capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Research and document user interactions and workflows on the PLM platform across various capabilities.
• Provide UX/UI expertise to ensure consistent user experiences across all capabilities.
• Identify required UX/UI improvements and engage with software vendors to implement enhancements.
• Standardize and drive consistent UX/UI research and user testing processes across product teams.
• Promote adoption of user-centered backlog development across teams.
• Escalate issues or requests to PLM product management as needed.
• Support planning, development, and delivery of training content to relevant user groups.

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Degree in Industrial Design, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to craft and present key messages to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a highly matrixed team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience driving UX/UI improvements within enterprise software.
• Ability to influence and drive change with stakeholders; experience in transformation, user onboarding, and organizational change management in a global organization is a plus.
• Intellectual curiosity with the ability to rapidly learn new concepts, frameworks, and technology to improve UX/UI and enhance user experience.
• Strong ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Initiative-taking with a track record of consistent delivery in highly collaborative, cross-functional environments.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Experience with Agile software development processes is a plus.
