Senior Fermentation Scientist – I&TD

We invite you to join our Innovation and Technology Development (I&TD) team as a Senior Fermentation Scientist, where you’ll be instrumental in driving the future of sustainable API manufacturing. Our mission is to transform lives through groundbreaking innovation, with fermentation as a key focus in our production pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Fermentation Process Leadership:
- Design, optimize, and scale up fermentation processes for pharmaceutical compound production.
- Conduct and supervise hands-on lab experiments to refine scalable, robust fermentation protocols.
- Technology transfer to manufacturing site collaborating with Tech Ops team for a successful process implementation.
- Drive innovations in fermentation methodologies, ensuring efficiency and consistency across processes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate fermentation insights into the drug development pipeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate fermentation methodologies into overall API manufacturing processes.
- Leading collaborations with partners and CROs with deep understanding of technologies applied.
- Work under a GMP environment and comply with safety regulations in all activities
Cross-Functional Project Leadership:
- Apply advanced data science and enzymology techniques to enhance fermentation outcomes.
- Serve as the primary liaison with Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and external partners, ensuring project alignment and quality standards.
- Evaluate data from partners, ensuring high quality, adherence to timelines, and alignment with project milestones.
- Lead cross-functional team collaborations to support overall I&TD lab performance, SHE compliance, and data integrity.
- Manage project timelines and resources, driving successful execution of fermentation goals.
Key Requirements:
- PhD or Master’s degree in fermentation, microbiology, biochemical engineering, biotechnology, or related discipline.
- 8-10 years’ experience in fermentation process development within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors and tech transfer.
- Deep expertise in advanced fermentation techniques and process scaling.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Effective communication, leadership capabilities, and a proactive, adaptable approach.
