The Product Engineer Hearing Protection plays a key and centric role in the product definition. This task comprises a set of responsibilities from the gathering of ideas until the precise definition of product requirements.
Product definition activities
- Request inputs from Sales and Demand Managers, and collaborate with them to identify the Voice of Customer (VOC).
- Identify and present product pain-points, opportunities, gaps and improvements, together with Sales, Demand and Product Managers.
- Analyse existing products’ sales figures and market data, and create new business cases, together with Sales, Demand and Product Managers.
- Stay aware of competition and contribute to the development of innovative solutions by idea generation and creation of new value proposition designs.
- Conduct benchmark and market research studies (e.g. market trends, competition, sales analysis, consumer survey) to uncover the feasibility of future products.
- Define clear product features and requirements, together with Product Managers and R&D peers.
- Contribute to product positioning in the market and roadmap definition.
- Support Product Managers with product lifecycle management, including maintenance activities.
User Interaction (UI) and User Experience (UX) activities
- Analyse industry best-practices and use knowledge to generate UI/UX concepts for new products.
- Present ideas and advice/align with peers and Management on the field of UI/UX design.
- Conduct user studies and research to discover new techniques to improve the UI/UX of existing/future products.
- Develop and create wireframes, storyboards, process and user flows of UI/UX concepts.
Technical activities
- Conduct technology, feasibility and usability assessments/studies as part of R&D projects, including prototype built coordination.
Your Profile:
- BSc or MSc in Engineering or related field (ideally in audiology, medical physics, hearing science or applied science).
- 5+ years in Product development or Product management
