For a medical device company in Almere area we are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Planning and Inventory Manager to optimize inventory, ensure production efficiency, and forecast demand. This role involves collaborating across teams to streamline stock management and improve operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning & Inventory Management: Oversee production planning processes to ensure stock levels are optimal and meet customer demand. Minimize excess inventory and stockouts by collaborating with materials planners.

  • Demand Forecasting & Order Planning: Utilize historical data and forecasts to develop production plans. Adjust plans as needed to align with inventory needs and production timelines.

  • Supply Chain Coordination: Work with suppliers, logistics teams, and internal departments to ensure smooth inventory replenishment and alignment with production schedules.

  • Subcontractor Management: Oversee subcontractors for packaging, sterilization, and other outsourced processes, ensuring quality and timely execution.

  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze production metrics such as turnover rates, lead times, and safety stock levels. Generate reports to provide actionable insights to management.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement within production planning and inventory processes. Implement Lean manufacturing principles and other strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a team of production planners, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between inventory strategies and business goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.

  • 10+ years of experience in production planning and inventory management, preferably in manufacturing or pharma.

  • 2+ years of team management experience.

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Lean manufacturing.

  • English required; Dutch is a plus.
