Manufacturing Engineer – Assembly

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer with expertise in assembly processes to join an ambitious and dynamic team. You will be part of the Production Engineering department within our state-of-the-art manufacturing site in Drachten, the Netherlands!

Responsibilities
 
  • You will drive Operational Excellence where problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership result in continuous improvement within the Philips organization.
  • Focus on the customers' needs, keep employees positive and empowered, and continually improve current activities in the workplace.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment, enabling the Operations department to achieve its goals and satisfy customer needs.
  • Contribute to the factory of the future by continuously improving processes and extending capabilities with innovative new methods.
  • Transfer new products to the factory for mass production, developing efficient manufacturing processes while considering all possible risks.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Site Manufacturing Engineering team and other stakeholders within the organization.
  • Diagnose equipment failures, collect data to identify root causes, and develop sustainable solutions

Your Profile
  • You hold at least a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (preferably Mechanical Engineering).
  • You are eager to learn more about current assembly processes and understand all that is needed to run and improve production.
  • You have the capability to transform knowledge into practical actions.
  • You possess strong root cause analysis skills.
  • You are experienced in problem-solving and project management, especially in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • You are capable of leading a team and have good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Improvement techniques is an advantage.

  • Location: Drachten, the Netherlands
  • Start-date: ASAP
  • Onsite
  • Duration: 1-year contract – with the likelihood of extension
