One of our clients is looking for a Data Science Team Lead, in this role you'll drive strategic innovation and lead R&D programs at the intersection of software development, data science, and cloud computing. You'll be instrumental in shaping R&D portfolio, initiating projects, and steering these to commercial application.
Responsibilities:
- Strategically develop and manage R&D programs in software development, data science, and cloud computing, ensuring alignment with overall business vision.
- Spearhead the acquisition of new projects, from ideation through to commercial application, including the creation of novel Intellectual Property.
- Cultivate a strong, collaborative culture both within your team and across departments, enhancing communication and partnerships with international collaborators.
- Lead and inspire a team of 8-10 scientists, fostering innovation and guiding their professional development.
- Contribute to the leadership and strategic direction of the Crop Data Science department as part of the management team.
Your Profile:
- PhD in Data Science, Cloud Computing, or a closely related computational field.
- Internationally recognized as a scientific leader with a robust global network.
- Extensive experience in developing R&D software solutions, with a visionary approach to research and innovation in software frameworks for R&D and data science.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex challenges into leading-edge R&D programs.
- An ambitious team player with an inspiring and engaging leadership style.
- Entrepreneurial and customer-oriented mindset with proven leadership and project management skills.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication abilities across varying levels of expertise.
