In partnership with a global bio-pharmaceutical company in Geleen, Netherlands, we are looking for an experienced IT Engineer to support and enhance the technology infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of systems.
ROLE
This specialist will play a vital role in managing, troubleshooting, and implementing IT solutions across various platforms, as well as providing technical support to users. This requires strong problem-solving skills, in-depth technical knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and within a team to ensure reliable IT operations.
In collaboration with IT Service Delivery functions and IT Security & Compliance teams, they will ensure adequate, reliable and consistent IT services are delivered at the sites; as well as to ensure sites adhere to IT standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
PROFILE
Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux).
Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Previous experience as Helpdesk
Good knowledge of Microsoft ADDS services (Active Directory, GPO, User rights management)
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualized environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VMWare, Nutanix).
Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Batch) is a plus.
Good understanding of security protocols and tools (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, anti-virus software).
