I'm working with a leading Biopharma company in Ireland that is looking for an Automation Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract. This role will play a key part in maintaining and optimizing automation systems in a GMP manufacturing environment. You will be responsible for system performance, automation strategy, and project execution while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain automation systems to ensure maximum uptime and performance.
- Manage system user access, backups, and restores while troubleshooting issues.
- Implement corrective actions and collaborate with vendors for technical support.
- Identify and execute small projects to enhance system efficiency.
- Lead automation projects, ensuring cost, schedule, and technical targets are met.
- Develop solutions tailored to manufacturing processes and optimize automation infrastructure.
- Maintain compliance with GMP, GAMP, ANSI/ISA, 21 CFR Part 11, and Annex 11 regulations.
- Create and maintain automation engineering deliverables, test scripts, and documentation.
- Stay updated on emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Global Automation, to drive innovation.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years working in a GMP manufacturing environment, with expertise in automation.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in pharmaceutical manufacturing and regulatory compliance.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi automation systems.
- Regulatory & Compliance: Familiarity with GAMP, ANSI/ISA, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and GxP/QA standards.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with experience in data analysis.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Leadership: Experience mentoring and training team members to enhance automation expertise.
